Getting to West Point

 

West point is located about an hour north of New York City along the west bank of the Hudson river (regional map).

 

Many options exist for transportation to West Point and we encourage you to examine all possible options.

 

The West Point area is served by four airports and a train line.  Three of the airports (JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark) are in the New York City region, and one (Stewart) is a regional airport 20 minutes from West Point.  The train line runs on the east side of the Hudson and taxi service is the only transportation option to West Point from the Garrison or Peekskill train stations.

The October 2007 USMA Network Science Workshop will explore Network Science as in interdisciplinary endeavor involving a number of traditional disciplines.   The theme explores the challenges in unifying these diverse disciplines, and will attempt to stimulate new thought by engaging people from different disciplines and exposing them to similar problems in other fields.
